The National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies has released the 2017 June/July Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results in art and science subjects. 

Acting registrar of the board, Professor Muhammad Shafi’u Abdullahi, in a statement, said a total of 38,192 candidates from 25 states including Abuja sat for the examination with Arabic recording the highest number of candidates with 26,105, followed by Mathematics with 23,378 and English with 22,746 

He said Arabic, English, Islamic Studies and Mathematics were attempted by all candidates while Qur’anic studies and three science subjects were attempted by all Tahfeez and science candidates respectively.

He noted that the board would soon make public an analysis of the results to show the performances of each state, especially in the core subjects from the maximum of subjects they registered for. 

He said the board has commenced preparations for the November/December external examination.
