About 65 staff of the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) have been trained on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) ahead of the 2019 June/July Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate Examination (SAISSCE).
Speaking at the opening of the training on Thursday in Kaduna, the acting Director, ICT Department, NBIAS, Rabi Mohammed Shehu said the training is aimed at boosting the capacity of staff to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
According to her, “As the 2019 June/July Senior Arabic and Islamic Secondary School Certificate Examination (SAISSCE) draws near, the department conceived the idea of training its staff towards the effective conduct of the exercise which will ensure successful process of the examination.”
She said the benefiting staff will be trained on online registration, compilation of results and computation.
She enjoined the participating members of staff who came from different zones including Oyo, Kano, Katsina, Gombe and Kaduna among others to enforce what they have learnt in order to have a hitch free exercise.
She said it is expected that after the 3-day training, staff would have enrich themselves through the various fields reflected during the training saying, “They will have the best and modern method of registration, compilation of results and computation.”
