Architect Ifechukwu Desmond Stephen Gil-Ozoudeh has been formally inducted as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Contract Project and Facility Management (CICPFM), recognizing his distinguished leadership and expertise in project management and sustainable built environment practices.

In addition, he has earned the professional designation of Project Management Professional (PMP), further solidifying his credentials in delivering complex construction and facility projects with excellence.

“This recognition is both an honor and a responsibility,” Gil-Ozoudeh stated. “Project management is the backbone of successful architecture and development. It ensures that vision meets reality—on time, on budget, and with integrity.”

A graduate of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Gil-Ozoudeh’s career bridges architecture, sustainable design, and strategic project leadership. As Senior Architect at Prestigious Homes Limited in Lagos, he has overseen major residential and cultural infrastructure developments, including the landmark Lekki Foreshore Estate and the Oba Yekini Elegushi Cultural Research Centre.

His leadership approach integrates cutting-edge Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies with robust compliance frameworks to meet Lagos State’s regulatory standards. This ensures not only architectural excellence but also seamless project delivery, cost efficiency, and quality assurance.

Beyond his professional practice, Gil-Ozoudeh is a prolific researcher with over 30 peer-reviewed publications focusing on sustainable housing, renewable energy integration, and digital design tools. His work consistently underscores the vital role of project and facility management in achieving sustainability goals.

As a mentor, he invests deeply in training the next generation of architects, project managers, and facility professionals. Through hands-on workshops and internships, many of his mentees have risen to leadership roles within Nigeria’s built environment sector. “Empowering young professionals ensures that our cities and communities are built better, smarter, and greener,” he affirmed.

Gil-Ozoudeh’s active engagement with professional bodies such as the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA), Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), and now CICPFM places him at the forefront of shaping Nigeria’s architectural and project management policies. He advocates for stringent building codes, environmental stewardship, and ethical standards across the industry.
