The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN),  Justice Mahmud Mohammed, has granted approval to the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) to set up a disciplinary tribunal that will help checkmate quacks, among others.
The president of the council, Arc. Umaru Aliyu, disclosed this, last week, during the council’s conference in Abuja.
He said the council yearned foe establishment of the tribunal since 2012 without success until now.
Aliyu said that the development would help checkmate the activities of quacks and sanitise the profession.
He said that the country was witnessing incidents of building collapse because many people have refused to engage the services of architects, adding that all architectural jobs should be done by architects registered by ARCON.
