Condemnation has continued to trailed the ongoing invasion of the house of a socialite and businesswoman, Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The action taken by the EFCC was condemned on the ground that few hours after the anti graft agency declared Achimugu wanted over alleged case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering, her home was invaded.
Arewa group and lawyers who have risen against the situation, particularly condemned the harassment of Aisha’s mother.
“Just when we and other Nigerians thought it was over having declared Achimugu wanted over yet substantiated allegations of criminal conspiracy and money laundering, the armed men of EFCC have invaded her house.
“Despicably, at Aisha’s House located on 51, Hassan Katsina in Asokoro, Abuja, the operatives resort to the harassment of her old mother who may not be aware of the allegations.
“We condemn this brazen act of assault in its entirety and called on relevant authorities, civil societies, the media and the public to rise up and protect the innocent old woman and other members of Aisha’s household.”
