Speaking on the occasion of the endorsement of the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state, following an emergency meeting of the executive officers of the Arewa Youth Association, Enugu State branch, Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Danladi Abubakar, said the choice of Ugwuanyi was good in view of his maturity and detribalised disposition.
Citing reasons for the Arewa youth’s support for the people’s politician, Abubakar said the candidate has demonstrated  that he can be entrusted with the leadership of the state.
Abubakar said: “Like governor Chime, Hon Gburu- Gburu has carried all residents of Enugu State along as brothers and sisters without any form of ethnic, religious or geographical bias. Some of us, though Hausas,  whose parents were born here have never had it good like when Gov Chime and Hon Gburu-Gburu took over the centre stage of politics in the state.”
