Nigerians were daily receiving the shock of their lives by the news pouring out daily from the media about all the rampant mega-looting committed under the supervision of the immediate past administration of Jonathan. Though, is normal in Nigeria to hear about alleged looting of our common patrimony, but Nigerians never think that, the character of our prone to corrupt rulers had reached to that level where even the money budgeted and accrued to buy arms to fight this savagery could be stolen.
Much has been heard from our gallant soldiers fighting those barbarians about the superiority of the weapons used by the insurgents compared with that of our soldiers, but alas, dismiss from the service and apprehension in court- martial  is the answer they received after they have complained for.
Buhari should do the needful to ensure that all those dismissed in the name of not fighting this corruptible and insincere war be returned back to their various duty posts, since the deep-buried truth has finally came out. Uncountable thanks to the emergence of the system which creates a platform for anti-corruption agencies to discharge their responsibility without any form of interruption from the top.
Our appeal to them is to distance themselves from all forms of corruption, so as to achieve the desired need of liberating this country from the pervasive menace of corruption. Thankfully, the system we have now in the country has the ability of hunting even the hunters of our public treasury.
They should give their all in ensuring that, all those found guilty of committing this atrocity be apprehended in the court, no matter what type of cacophony of noise that apprehension might pose. The only question which is on the lips of many Nigerians is when and how the Office of the national security adviser became a place where money could be withdrawn for campaign purposes.
Though the matter is now in court we must remain far from going deep into that issue. Our appeal to our President is to continue to remain focus in this operation rid this county out of corruption, we promise to back him up to the hilt in this regard. Definitely, these daily revelations of corruption cases is pushing Nigerians to believe in the saying, Nigeria cannot survive another four years of Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
