The Nigerian army troops of 177 guards battalion while on  a raiding operation at Ugya village in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State destroyed some armed militia camps.

In a statement signed by the Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Texas Chukwu he added that the troops arrested one Angulu Idaku who was alleged to be the spiritual head of the militia group.

He added that the troops also recovered weapons from the militia groups which include seven locally made guns, 12  cartridges, 200 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 76 rounds of 7.62mm NATO special ammunition and Four knives.

Others items recovered include fifteen cutlasses, 6 mobile phones, one DSTV decoder set and four solar panel sets.

He called on the public to report any suspicious activities to security agents.
