The 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, Sokoto, has honoured the son of one of their fallen heroes who found and returned a missing phone.

The 21-year-old Samson Kefas was said to have found the “expensive” phone and returned it to the owner without seeking any reward.

While presenting cash and plaque to him, the General Officer Commanding, Major General Uwem Bassey, who was represented by the Garrison Commandant, Brigadier General Ralph Nnebeife, commended him for his unique gesture.

Meanwhile, the division had organized special prayers for the reposed souls of their fallen heroes as part of the activities to mark this year’s Armed Forces Day.

The prayer session was jointly led by the Chief Imam of Giginya Barrack, Lieutenant Abubakar Muhammad Ahmed, and Lieutenant Colonel Elemi Clement.
