The medical team of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army has offered free medical services to selected communities in the South Eastern Region of the country.  

The team under the leadership of the Acting Commander 82 Division Hospital, Colonel Olufunke Kayode, and the Garrison Commander 82 Division, Brigadier General Olufemi Akinjobi, offered the services at Obinze, Azia, in Ihiala Local Government of Anambra State.

The services, which are part of the Exercise Python Dance’s comprehensive civil military relations line of operations, also covered other communities in Ebonyi, Enugu. Abia and Imo states.  

Among the services provided were immunisation against polio, hepatitis and tetanus, malaria, blood sugar and HIV tests, medical counseling as well as scaling, polishing and extraction of teeth to those with dental problems.

The Acting Commander 82 Division Hospital, Colonel Kayode, said the main objective of the exercise was to cement the existing cordial relationship between the benefiting communities in the states and the Nigerian Army.
