The police in Ogun, on Friday, arraigned two accused persons – Yemi Moses, 32, and Oluwaseun Famiyiwa, 29 – for allegedly stealing a commercial Volkswagen bus valued N1.2 million.

The accused, whose addresses were not provided, are facing a two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Abdulkareem Mustapha, told the court that the accused and others still at large, committed the offences on Jan. 29 at about 10am at Sango-Ota.

The bus was said to belong to one Ameh Chinedu, who is also the complainant.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The chief magistrate, Mr Mathew Akinyemi, granted them bail in the sum of N300,000 each with two sureties each in like sum and adjourned the case to February 20.
