…arrest 3 for armed robbery in Katsina

The police in Katsina State have arrested three suspected members of an armed robbery syndicate in the state.

The command gave the names of those arrested to include: Abba Hassan, 35, of Kofar Soro Quarters; Nasiru Mohammed, 53, of Tudun Yan-Lihida Quarters,  and Jamilu Gambo, 35, of Yar-Gamji village, Batagarawa LGA.

The spokesman of the command, SP Gambo Isah, said the trio was arrested at Tudun Yan-Lihida  in possession of two locally made pistols and one Dane Gun.  

“They  have confessed to various armed robbery incidents in Katsina and its environs and are assisting the police in their investigation with a view to arresting other members of their syndicate.  Investigation is ongoing,” he said.
