An Abuja local sport operator, Ali Zuma, was on Wednesday released on bail after ten days in police detention.
Ali Zuma was arrested penultimate Sunday by the police along with 306 others, mostly fans, from Dei-Dei area in Bwari Area Council, where he operates a local sport center, popularly known as Gidan-Dambe.
He was released by an Abuja Magistrate Court sitting in Wuse Zone 6 where he was charged with illegal possession of land, sheltering drug peddlers as well notorious criminals.
The suspects, who denied all the charges, requested for bail in order to enable him to take care of his health condition.
The magistrate granted the request and ordered for the case to resume in three months.
Commenting on the development, one of his associates, Auwal Muhammed, said they were preparing to resume the local sport exercise by weekend.
