Muralist and illustrator, Wlliams Chechet will be exhibiting his ‘We Are the North’ contemporary art pieces for the first time in Lagos.

The exhibition, in conjunction with Alliance Francais de Lagos which is scheduled to take place at Moorhouse Hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos, on June 3, will feature his latest art project ‘We Are the North’ series’.

The series is a series of beautiful illustrations from Northern Nigeria, where Chechet was raised and influenced by pop art, an art movement which involves imagery from popular culture being visually removed from its known context, isolated, and/or combined with unrelated material.
