Weekend Magazine: People are obviously very curious about you, so let’s start with questions that would satisfy that curiosity. Mr. Tunde, where, when, how did you propose? And Mrs. Tunde, what did you say?
Tunde: It’s always something people want to know, but surprisingly there was no formal proposal; we just made plans for our wedding. We got married in June 1998. 
Mrs. Obe: Like he said, there was no proposal; we just clicked from the very day we met. It was sincere love from the first sight. 
What attracted you to each other?
For me the attraction was more spiritual. I had someone I wasn’t sure I could live without. She was witty, interesting, intelligent, kind and loving and I was not wrong after all.
Mrs. Obe: He was responsible, focused, caring, and mature-minded and never gave in to peer pressure. It has been worthwhile and I am sure I made the right choice.
How did you both get into the entertainment industry, was it by chance that you were both in the industry or you both decided on it  after you got married?
We were both singing already when we met in 1988, so it was not in anyway by chance. We were both in the entertainment business before we meet and it clicked right away. So, it would be right to say entertainment brought us together and was one of our major attractions to each other.
You have both been off the entertainment scene for a while now. Why?
We have been busy working on other projects that really needed our attention and commitment. That has really taken a lot of our time but we are planning something bigger and better for our fans.
How has the journey been so far as a married couple tied to the same profession? What are some of the challenges?
We give God the Glory. Our challenges are not different from any other working couple’s but we thank God for His mercies. Even as an individual, challenges are bound to occur along the way. If challenges don’t occur it means there is no progress. But with God everything works out perfectly.
What would you say is the secret for your long lasting relationship of over 25 years considering the fact that most celebrity couples hardly have it smooth both in Hollywood and Nollywood?
God, genuine love, mutual respect, and plenty of communication. With these core ingredients every couple can wither the storm no matter what. Communication is very important and necessary in every relationship and even business.
As a couple quarrels and fights are bound to happen, has this in anyway affected your entertainment life at any point in time?
No. We don’t have quarrels but discussions. We don’t let anything boil over and we don’t take arguments to bed.
How are the responsibilities shared between you two especially at work? Who comes up with the lyrics and all that?
We both write songs, as the spirit leads. The labour is divided according to our individual strengths. For example, I do a lot of the planning and ground work, while Wunmi does a lot of implementing. We never allow our responsibilities ground our progress, we work hand in hand.
Many are curious to know why you decided to call yourselves ‘T.W.O’.  Can you explain the reason behind that?
T.W.O is divine. It’s an acronym of our names. And there just happens to be two of us. We couldn’t wish for anything more than this name. It’s just the two of us!
You are always in the same clothes, how economical has that been to your trade mark as T.W.O?
We wear the same colors, not the same clothes. Presentation and packaging is what defines your brand as an artiste. So we make sure we do things well and dress in the same colors so as to represent our identity and brand as a celebrity couple in positive light.
Do you have separate lives at all or are always together as a couple at work?
Yes we do as individuals have separate lives because the labour is divided. That you see us on stage together does not mean we go to the market together nor do everything else together. We are together when work calls for it and we attend to our individual lives outside work.
Mrs. Obe, how do you handle your female fans?
I would say with maturity. Everything has to be handled in a mature way and I think that is the best way to handle situations like this.
Mr. Tunde how do you handle your female fans?
With maturity and respect as long as it is mutual. Everything in this world has to be handled with maturity.
Mrs. Obe, how do you feel when female fans cross their boundaries as fans towards your husband and the same goes for you too Mr. Tunde?
Things like these go with the territory and I expect him to handle it with intelligence and maturity. It’s not really my own headache.
Tunde: My wife is a very respectable person and comports herself decently at all times, so I don’t expect that to come up.
As a couple and business partners, do you both run a joint account?
The business has a corporate account, and we have ours individually, so yes and no. (Laughing)
Has entertainment paid off for both of you?
We thank God for his mercies. We can’t complain.
Have any of your children shown interest in towing your line of entertainment?
So far, one of them has. Our eldest, but now her education is our only priority. So we are more focused on her education for now and entertainment can come later. For now her education is her top priority.
Mrs. Obe, you are from a very influential family, how easy was it to convince your parents that entertainment was your thing?
It was very easy. My parents were very supportive of my decision. I did not have to do a lot of convincing because I had their support all the way.
What is your take on the entertainment industry in Nigeria?
The music and beats are good, but many songs lack messages these days. Nonetheless there’s steady progress in terms of global recognition and acceptance of Nigerian music. So we would say it is good and making progress as the days go by.
What is the next big project for T.W.O?
Our new album and our TV show. It’s big and going to be a blast.
