The chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido has assured residents of their safety adding that security agencies are doing their best to keep residents safe.

He said residents should not live in fear but should go about their normal festivities.

“The security agencies are up and doing. They are doing their best unfortunately some negative minds are always making things difficult for them. We know that with a partnership with security agencies that Nigerians will have a peaceful Sallah,” he said.

He appealed to Nigerians to be prayerful for the country and also support the leaders so that peace will reign.

“This period is all about sacrifice. I want AMAC residents to be sacrificial in all they do. Let us try to sacrifice for this country. Let us put everything positive as a way of life. We should put negative attention behind us so that we can see a better country,” he said.
