Towards nipping in the bud, threat of industrial action by the organised labour union over electricity tariff increase, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has scheduled a conciliatory meeting with the Nigeria Labour Congress and Electricity Distribution Companies next week to resolve the matter.
The minister gave this hint while defending the ministry’s budget before the Senate Committee on Employment Labour and Productivity.
 Ngige acknowledged the receipt of the labour union letter, adding that he had invited them for discussions, including Electricity Distributions Companies and Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.
