Kano State Police Public Relation Officer ASP Magaji Musa Majia has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintended of Police (DSP).
Majia joined the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Inspector on August 15, 2002. He had served the Force in different parts of the country such as Lagos, Nassarawa, Zamfara and now at the Kano State Police Command.
Until his appointment as Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Kano State Police Command on 13th June, 2010, he was the Second in Command of the Motor Traffic Division (MTD) Kano. He was promoted to the rank of ASP on 1/1/2009 and elevated to DSP on 16th December, 2015.
Majia attended many courses and workshops among which are: Citizenship and Leadership Training at Shere Hills, Jos, Combat Training Course at Gwoza, First Aid Training, National Institute of Public Relations Practitioners (NIPR) Course in Lagos, Capacity Building Workshop for PPROs in Kaduna State, Capacity Building Workshop in Akwa Ibom State, and Responsibility to Report Seminar Held in Abuja.
He also received various awards and commendations including “Most Outstanding Police Public Relations Officer in Nigeria 2014” by Security Watch Africa, the Commissioner of Police Commendation Award for Service to Allah and Humanity by Kano State Stakeholders and Police Partnership, NUJ Kano Chapter Award for Good Public Relations.
Ambassador for Peace Award by Translator News, Excellence Award by the National Association of Kano State Students (NAKSS) BUK Chapter, Best Police Public Relations Officer in North West Zone Award by Nollywood Motivational Leadership Award Series 2014.
