Spokesman of the club, Mr. Bestman Jooji disclosed to Trustsports that already a competent technical crew has been assembled by the Chief Steven Lawani led management with an experienced expatriate coach as the head of the coaching crew.

In addition, he said that highly experienced players who have been tested and found good enough to contest for a continental ticket have been recruited and have since joined the club.

According to him, the early and concerted efforts being put into the team’s preparation have been informed by the experience of last season which saw the darling club of Benue State escaping relegation by the whiskers.

He said to avoid a repeat of what happened last season, Lawani who is the State deputy governor and Chairman of the Club has personally devoted time to complement the efforts of the club’s vice-chairman, Dominic Iorfa by paying more tghan passing interest in the recruitment exercise embarked upon by the club.

“We have concluded arrangements for the new season. The management of Lobi Stars now boosts of a sound technical crew and quality players who have promised to win laurels this season. The chairman of the club and deputy governor of the State, Chief Steven Lawani has ensured the team is adequately prepared. The vice-chairman of the club, Mr. Dominic Iorfa, a former international and board member of NFF has been working round the clock to ensure that the club wins trophies for the people of Benue State”

Jooji therefore expressed confidence that 2009/2010 season would not be another tales of disappointment for the club which enjoys tremendous support from the sports loving governor of the state.
