Ask Atiku, who would he sell NNPC to?

PDP presidential candidate Alhaji Abubakar Atiku recently declared, in one of his recent campaigns, that he would sell NNPC if he wins the 2019 presidential election.

Atiku will sell not only NNPC, but the remaining public assets to himself and his cronies.

Nigerians should not forget quickly that it was Atiku’s penchant for acquisition of public assets when he was VP during Obasanjo’s regime that led to the serious problems between him and his boss, with each trying to outwit the other. We should also remember what happened to NITEL, our telecommunications backbone, during their regime.

More worrisome is Atiku’s absence from the presidential debate. Atiku claimed he backed out of the debate lamenting Buhari’s absence he said he would have used the platform to ask Buhari some questions. The presidential interview is a platform where the Press asks aspirants questions and not an aspirant asking another aspirant questions.

All that Nigerians expected from Atiku was for him to make himself available during the interview and tell Nigerians what he had for them. Atiku’s absence from that debate is a ploy to avoid the press digging out his records when he was V.P.

His boss, Obasanjo who is today promoting himself as a champion of democracy cannot run away from his own shadows. In the last years of his 8 years tenure, he did everything within and outside his powers to elongate his tenure.

He met his waterloo in the hands of the national assembly that sent him packing from the villa.

Nigerians should beware of the antics of Atiku and Obasanjo. They are ganging up to sell the remaining public assets they could not sell to themselves before their tenure lapsed.

Obasanjo had always been in the forefront of choosing presidents for Nigeria. Among all those he influenced into power, which one of them had done well for the country. Need we talk about Jonathan who ran the country into recession?

Obasanjo had confirmed during his recent so-called outburst against Buhari that Atiku is not good and would not trust him. Why is he still sharing tent with Atiku?

Nigerians beware! Shine your eyes!!

All that glitter is not gold. Let us vote for Buhari for our public assets to remain safe. I saw everything during their tenure.
