Senatorial aspirant for Enugu East Senatorial District under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Okabonye Chukwuani, has called on the party leadership to uphold fairness, justice, and internal democracy as it concludes its review of issues arising from the party’s internal processes.

Chukwuani said the review process should be conducted fairly and transparently, stressing that all aspirants should be treated equitably and in accordance with the party’s guidelines.

According to him, the credibility of the NDC will not be judged by the absence of disagreements but by its willingness to address concerns openly and ensure that its processes inspire confidence among members and stakeholders.

He urged party members and supporters to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and committed to the democratic process while the party completes its review.

“The matter is bigger than any individual aspirant. It is about preserving the integrity of a movement that many Nigerians have come to believe in,” he said.

Chukwuani noted that Nigerians, party members, and stakeholders are closely observing developments within the party, adding that the decisions taken in the coming days will send a strong signal about the political culture the NDC seeks to promote.

He emphasized that the outcome of the review would demonstrate whether the party’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and internal democracy extends beyond campaign promises to practical implementation.

Expressing confidence in the process, the senatorial hopeful said he believes that fairness, transparency, and justice will ultimately prevail.
