Staff unions of the College of Education (COE), Akwanga, Nasarawa State, have called on Gov. Abdullahi Sule to assent to the reviewed law establishing the college to ensure smooth operations.
In a statement, the Chairman of the umbrella body of the unions, Mr. Edward Daniel, also urged the governor to prevail on the governing council of the college to follow due process in appointing principal officers from within the institution.
In the statement, the chairman said in order to ensure speedy restoration of harmonious working relationship between the college and the unions, there was the urgent need for the governor to assent to the law as it would solve some lingering disputes in the college.
