The chairman of the Nasarawa State Chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Dr. Nghargbu K’tso has appealed to the federal government to release the outstanding N880 billion funds meant for critical intervention projects in universities to avert impending indefinite strike.

K’tso who made the appeal yesterday while addressing journalists in Keffi,

said,  “I want to appeal to the federal government to respond sufficiently… I am also appealing to Nigerians for understanding, as the goal of the strike is to improve on the quality of university education.”

K’tso said adequate funding of universities would address the problems of infrastructural decay and discouraging people from going abroad to study.
