We have become so idle to the point that we are now more susceptible to the temptation of joining many of the anti-social groups in the country and the overall effects of this is that we may end up becoming unproductive members of the society. We are in agony and frustration because of this avoidable strike; we are jobless and innocent people who deserve attention. With the right kind of commitments, we believed this issue could be resolved once and for all. On the other hand my advice to ASUU is that they should not be too rigid in their demands because we are in the period of economic recession for the federal government to comply with ASUU’s demand of 109% salary increment. In this context, I would like to appeal to ASUU to call off their strike. We the children of the masses are the ones at the receiving end.
