The bride’s residence located at Sharada Ganduje Line of Kumbutso Local Government was crowded with fans and well wishers quite early in the day. The marriage rites were concluded with the payment of N20, 000 as bride price at around 10:00am.

Fati and Umar Kanu were said to have been in love with each other since her return from England after the expiration of her contract with Family Health Initiative (F.H.I) and the collapse of her first marriage.

According to the groom, he had known her as an actress for quite a long time, but they started dating after they met on location for ‘Abadan Da’iman’.

Since the collapse of her marriage with skilful dancer and actor Sani Mai’iska, Fati Muhammad was rumoured to have been dating Lawan Ahmed and later, it was reported that her relationship with Kanu had collapsed.

The wedding was graced by thousands of people from within and outside Kano State. Stars like Ali Nuhu, T Y Sha’aban Shaba, Baballe Hayatu, Aminu Maidawayya, Ali Isa Jita, Auwal West, Nazifi Asnanic, Mudassiru Haladu Barkeke, Malam Aminu Saira, Abida Muhammad, Rukayyah Dawayya, Hafsat Shehu and Fati Bararoji among others graced the occasion.
