At-Tanzeel school boosts Qur’an education

The management of At-Tanzeel Schools has said the school will maximise opportunities in the Complete Quran Course (CQC) programme to boost the competence of students with the knowledge of the Qur’an.

Former chairman of the school’s board, Abdul-Hameed Oladimeji Olona, spoke during the 2023 annual general meeting of the school that was held in Ikorodu, Lagos.

Olona disclosed that the school was investing in state-of-the-art sports facilities while maintaining its strong focus on Quranic memorisation and understanding, “thereby ensuring the holistic development of our students.”

He said, “We are optimistic about our prospects and the brighter future that awaits our enterprise. We have made substantial preparations to maximise our sixth form initiative, which will provide our students with access to international examinations, facilitating their pursuit of degrees in advanced countries.”

He said despite the challenging economic condition, the school achieved and survived with moderate growth in all key performance indicators.

According to him, the revenue increased by 12%, from N313.5 million to N352 million; operating expenses rose in tandem with revenue, going from N193.7 million to N219.9 million while administrative expenses decreased by 7.2%, from N75 million to N69.6 million.

The new chairman of the school, Alhaji Saheed Bashir, promised to invest in 21st-century teaching and learning infrastructure and methodologies.
