Atiba University, Oyo, Oyo State on Thursday matriculated 36 pioneer students for the 2017/2018 academic session in various degree programmes in four faculties of the institution.
The vice chancellor of the university, Professor Sola Ehindero, who stated this at the matriculation ceremony, said the vision of the institution is to provide education, training and character that encourage students to search for information motivated by ideology and use of modern ICT.
He noted that the institution is positioned to promote environmental, scientific and technological knowledge among students and ensuring a challenging academic environment for them to develop critical thinking ability and a positive attitude toward learning, teaching and research.
The chairman of the Governing Board, Alhaji Abdulraheem Idris, in his remarks urged the students to avoid anything that will not add value to their academic pursuit.
