Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has been posting thoughts meant to be motive and inspire the future of many Nigerians.
But one of his latest tweets hit a nerve.
In a handful of words, he counted himself among the elites who’ve benefitted from Nigeria’s “status quo”.
Then he called for it to be “disrupted” because it didn’t work for “every day Nigerians”.

His post has been retweeted 851 times by Monday, and gotten more than 1,200 likes.
But it’s got more than 550 people commenting. That’s far more than the 220 comments gathered by President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet about visiting “wounded heroes in the line of duty” during his Independence Day visit to the frontlines in Maiduguri.
