Operatives of the Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested suspects in connection with the recent attack on Tebedaba-Brass trunkline at lascogbene community in Southern Ijaw Local Government council.

The State Commissioner of Police, Francis Idu, told newsmen on Monday that one Gideon Atama, and a boat driver, Daniel Williams were arrested in connection with the attack on the 18 inches trunkline that is operated by the Oando.
It supplies crude oil to the Brass terminal.
Daily Trust recalls that hoodlums had early April blown up the major oil facility in the state. Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, during a visit to the facility had vowed that the hoodlums would be brought to book.
According to the Police Commissioner, a notorious gang member, Gideon Atama, was arrested with a mobile phone, putting on an army camouflage uniform like a soldier.
He said: “Upon a close check on the phone, pictures of assorted riffles and voice notes of their previous operations were unraveled. They also went further to mention sponsors in the vandalization of installations and facilities in the region.”
He said the Police operatives  attached to the Labrado Security House boat at Igbikiba in Southern Ijaw Local Government area of Bayelsa State also arrested a 20-year-old boat captain, Danile Williams, involved in alleged of pipeline vandalization.
According to the Police, Daniel Williams, is allegedly involved in the recent attack on Tebedaba-Brass trunkline at lascogbene community in Southern Ijaw Local Government council.
He stated that the police also arrested the killers of 50-year-old, Hon. Odeinyefa Ogbolosingha, inlaw to the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri, and two others amongst them, the Paramount Ruler of the Kalaba Community and Chairman of the Community Development Committee (CDC), HRH Kolibo Francis Amabelimo and Samuel Oburo in Kalaba community of Yenagoa Local Government area of the State who were murdered in 2022.
The Police however confirmed that the deceased were allegedly murdered by three persons including one Gideon Atama, 32 years, Bethlehem Nwanlia, 49 years and Clever Ovo, 33 years.
