The House of Representatives says aggressive attacks on schools and abduction of students, especially in the north, are affecting education and increasing the number of out-of-school children.

It urged the Federal Ministry of Education, state governments and private schools proprietors to provide more security measures to protect students from abductions and other threats.

This followed the adoption of a motion by Taiwo Oluga (APC, Osun) on Wednesday calling for the deployment of more security measures including technology to make schools more secure for students.
