Wheat and rice farmers in the North West zone of Nigeria especially those in Kebbi state have cried out, alleging during a programme with BBC Hausa Service last Wednesday that both the fertilizers and financial assistance from the federal government reached them late. Listen to this Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Mr. Audu Ogbeh. These serious shortcomings should be carefully checked, those found sabotaging Mr. President’s programme on food security should be dealt with. Nigerians may not accept deliberate failures created by some unscrupulous persons that do not wish the country well.
