I am 63NA/148589 PTE. BUDAN NGETU. I was enlisted into the Nigerian Army on 30th November, 1968 and discharged on 25 Aug, 1978 on medical ground.

My total year of service is 10 years, 295 days including war bonus. I discharge from 2 Div Rehab centre. I am native of Shani LGA of Borno State.

Before our verification of the year 2001 my pension has stopped without any notification, you were sent by the Nigerian Army Headquarters for the verification excise of which I forwarded my complaint to you. I was called to Bauchi for re-verification of which everything was cleared but very unfortunate up to now I have been denied of my pension.

I went to Abuja to the Directorate of military pension Board (D.M.P.B) and laid my complain,  but i was informed by the Board that we are sharing same number   with another person but when I inquired deeply, I was call in to a certain office in which they wrote a letter of requesting to be included in pensioners list.

But that is not my request, but a claim of right as any mil pensioner should claim.

I expected that the mil pension board should have called me and the person that said to have shared a same number with me and investigate, the fact would be out, but unfortunately, the board had not done so.

Sir, this is the reason that compelled me to write an open letter to you, that you may intervene so that my pension may be given to me as a military pensioner. I believe this information will be valuable so as to ease your intervention.

I am ready to come along with other essential documents such as: Service certificate; authority for the payment of pension and gratuity; 2nd infantry division rehabilitation centre ISE YIN certificate; the formal letter which the pension board wrote and give it to me in the cause of my struggle to see my pension dues is rectified.

Sir, I am old and weak, and I cannot endure travelling from Shani to Abuja. Being a final judge among your subjects, I thought this is the only way that my misery life may come to an end.
