Attention, Femi Fani Kayode

It has come to our notice that wailers have graduated from their futile school of the present and not just proceed to the future, but travel back in history. In response to the biography of the president, authored by Prof. John Paden, you decided to include Sir Ahmadu Bello. If I may quote, you said “self-serving and comprehensive compilation of Bello’s numerous virtues with little or no mention of his many vices”. Let me take you to what history and geniuses is about.
The picture depicted is the map of this great nation if i should remind you. The zone emblazoned with blue is the North. It has a landmass of over 771,000 sq km of the nation’s 923,768 sq km. This is where this person whose many vices you were asking, ruled. He did not only rule the region, but united it, despite its complexity of diversity. You said Prof. Paden only “primarily write about core northern Nigeria”. That “writing rubbish seems to be Paden’s stock in trade”. I assure you Wailer, writing about the north is neither rubbish nor waste of time. Prof John Paden may have his shortcomings now and then, and he may not have included things he couldn’t find, because he did not get to the extent of using the phony electronic microscope you may have used.
Writing about greatness is always a thing of pride to every writer, even a tenderfoot, with pen and paper can’t but be fond of writing about greatness, and the north is somewhere greatness is always in stock. In addition, northerners are not fond of pin pointing the little shortcomings of leaders from the south. We have recognized the greatness in leaders form the south like Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Nnamdi Azikiwe among many others. This is because; you are what you see in others.
As the saying goes; “You author your biography”. His was authored and set wide open for criticism, yet, of the swaths of critics, only few came forth with little humanness of him. Devote your all to writing, for you have wrote lots already, and with the incessant arrests, if much care is not taken, only the dustbin would be worthy of accommodating such book. This is a message from the North.
