Attention, Governor Bello and Senator-elect, Zone A

Gov. Sani Bello of Niger state.

Let me start by congratulating both of you on your recent victories at the polls. I pray Allah will protect and guide you on good governance. Mr. Governor Sir, your last four years of stewardship is not satisfactory to Nigerlites. Please, this second term should afford you the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy in our state. Kindly concentrate on the followings: Improve our Educational institutions by building infrastructures and retraining of teachers and lecturers at all levels. Human capital Development should be your priority; Health services improvement generally; Infrastructural development particularly roads and water supply. Our state is one of the worst in terms of road repairs and construction in the whole country; Youth employment and empowerment through entrepreneur skills acquisition and development; Allah has blessed our state with vast arable land for agricultural development. Please use your second term to improve on agriculture.

We appreciate your prompt payment of civil servant salaries. Please keep it up.

Your Excellency Sir, who will take over from you in 2023 should not be your priority, rather get your act together and deliver good governance to the entire state. Most of those already scheming for Governorship position from Zone A ahead of 2023 are all for personal interest. It’s only Allah that knows what will happen then. The good work you will leave behind will do the magic for you after the second term. If you think otherwise and lose focus that will be too bad.

Our first time Senator elect, Mallam Mohammed Bima. Your antecedents in terms of community development, assistance to friends, brothers and sisters in capacity building is need to be improved upon. Please prove them wrong and work hard for the development and upliftment of Zone A Senatorial District. Allah has given you this opportunity to serve our people in the 9th Senate and I sincerely hope you will not disappoint us.

I wish you all the best.

Saidu Abdulrahman, Bida, Niger State.
