President of the American University of Nigeria, Margee Ensign, has resigned her appointment.
A statement signed by the school’s vice president for administration, Yahaya Zango, and posted on the university’s website on Monday thanked Ensign for her service while wishing her well in her future endeavors.
According to the statement, Ensign resigned due to personal reasons with effect from 1st May 2017 and the provost of the university, Professor Le Gene Quesenberry has been appointed interim president by the AUN board of trustees.
The dean of school of business and entrepreneurship, Ahmad Hussaini is interim provost.
"I will also take this opportunity to congratulate Professors Le Gene Quesenberry and Ahmad Hosseini for their respective elevations and to assure them of our community’s full cooperation and support in the service of the American University of Nigeria,” the statement said.
