State Commissioner for Sports, Pastor Daniel Ogah Ogazi who was part of the delegation to Vienna, Austria, told Trustsports, that FK Ratid may take over Nasarawa United as one its clubs to sponsor and manage in Nigeria.
Ogazi explained that during the visit, the delegation met with the management of FK Ratid, and had discussions with them on areas of cooperation, particularly the sponsorship of the state-owned football club.
“We looked at areas of cooperation; a possibility for them to take up Nasarawa United FC as one of their own clubs in Nigeria. We are looking at professionalism; the need to give professional assistance to train and retrain our players.”
He said discussions are yet to be sealed, but added that “it was a successful outing.”
“We are hopeful that our mission to Austria will yield fruits so that the state will have a relief in funding the club so that we can achieve efficiency”, he said.
The commissioner also said the delegation visited and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Basry Sports Austria, a company which produces sporting kits and equipments.
“We agreed in principles for them to supply us kits and t help look for sponsorship for us”, he said.
