Author to present book on investigation into Olaitan Oyerinde’s murder

The author Loise Otse Adams, who made this known in a statement, said the three-in-one publication comprising of a biography, compilation of investigative reports and tributes on the renowned public administrator, strategist and unionist promises to serve as an easy reference point for unresolved murder cases in Nigeria.
She added that the delay in the investigation of the case is an injustice being done to the memory of the slain activist while encouraging the security agencies to do more than has already being done to unravel the real killers of Olaitan Oyerinde.
Comrade Olaitan Oyerinde, former Principal Private Secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of  Edo State, was murdered in his residence May 4, 2012 in Benin City, the Edo State capital. Two years after his killers are still unknown.
According  to Mrs Adams the book is intended to help people find the courage to define what the society should be.
“The life and times of Olaitan have shown everyone that commitment to the valuable cause of social justice and wellbeing is a commitment to our personal survival and wellbeing. We must all reflect on ideals that can make our world a better place, make our nation a safer haven for goodness, and provide equal opportunity for all willing and capable Nigerians. I hope this book helps us to find the questions and answers that we need for our common humanity,” she said.
The publication is supported by the Nigeria Labour Congress, of which the slain was an active member, the government of Edo State which he served until his death and Osun State government his place of origin.
