According to a statement from the university signed by Mr. Daniel Okereke, Director of Communications and Public Relations, President Margee Ensign announced the arrival of Professor North at AUN at a welcome dinner with senior management held at her residence in Yola.
Professor Ensign said that at this critical moment in Nigeria’s history, it is important to train communication students in investigative, objective news writing and multimedia skills.
Responding, Professor North reflected upon his professional principles, emphasising that every story should be factual and checked.
The Dean School of Arts and Science, Dr. Idorenyin Akpan, said “Don North is an indispensable asset.”
