He said such approvals, especially for four-storey buildings and other high-rise edifices would thenceforth come from his office.
He stressed that modern buildings be built on the Goodluck Jonathan by-pass near the new airport road in Calabar.
He gave the order ecently when he inspected on-going construction of garment factory which sits on three hectares of land in the new airport neighbourhood.
The governor said the factory, expected to be commissioned in August to mark his first 100 days in office is expected to engage mostly widows.
A representative of the host community, Chief Jacob Etim Asuquo, while assuring the governor of their cooperation to ensure the actualization of the garment factory and his directive, appealed that access be created to link the adjoining communities.
