The attitude of Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC in Azares town has been a thing of concern that needs urgent attention. This is because, the Commission as law enforcement agency, has been for long abetting accidents in the town, thereby making the vehicle users collapsed, where a lot fatally sustain a life damaged injury.

Since the introduction of the new plate number by the Federal Government, the officers in the town has been virulent to the vehicle users, and making their mandate a conduit to amass wealth for personal consumption.

Also, instead of discharging their responsibilities of ensuring safety on the roads, and avert the road related crimes throughout the country, the Commission in the town becomes malignant, brutalizing the vehicle users with perversive charges in the name of enforcing the traffic regulations.

It is worrisome that the Commission, FRCSN, established by the FRSCN act of 1988, for among other things; to avert accident on the road, enforce traffic regulation among the vehiculars so as to minimize the rate of accident, and design a plate number for the motorist, as well as ensuring that the society embraces it. But instead, the Commission in Azare have been abetting accident, because they use streets that are impossible for the vehicle users to behold a frontal side, to witch-hunt their victims. And this is gruesomely dangerous, because it makes many road users to make a U-turn without observing the road, for the fear of being molested by the officers.

However, this happens no where other than the road behind FMC Azare, the street known for its vital function of linking various communities with the Accident an Emergency Unit of the Hospital (FMC, AZARE), and the court road, which passes from the dense area of the town to the important places such as; Azare General Hospital, Police Station, Sharia and Magistrate Courts, and the host community of the Main Campus of the State University.

You may not be unaware that, the people of Azare have been known widely as law abiding, who respect elders and constituted authorities, But it would be a gruesomely detrimental, that if nothing done to bring up the situation under control, that the circumstances it may course would be metamorphosed to rebellion, because significant number of people have died, while a lot sustained a life damage injury due to the attitude of the Commission toward the road/vehicle users in the town.

Finally, I appeal to the Katagum emirate council, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umar Faruq Umar II, Bauchi State Government, all authorities concerned to quickly intervene to stitch in time and  saves the nine, in order save and  avert the detrimental effect the situation may produce.
