FADAMA III AFII project has distributed empowerment materials to 640 farming households in communities ravaged by Boko Haram insurgency.
The benefactors who also distributed food items to sustain the farmers through the farming season, said the intervention was for economic recovery in Yobe State.
The state coordinator, FADAMA III AFII, Alhaji Musa A Garba, said while inspecting the livelihood packages to the first batch of the 640 households in six communities of Gujba and Gulani local government councils, that the intervention was part of Northeast food security and livelihood support project to facilitate resettlement of people in the returnee communities.
In the livelihood package, each of the households was provided with components of either 4:1 sheep and ram; 4:1 she goat and he goat; or 40 birds of layers or broilers.
