Mr Sunday Babaji has assumed office as the new Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command.

CP Babaji took over from CP Bala Ciroma who has been promoted to an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and deployed to Zone 7 Headquarters.

In a statement, the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, ASP Mariam Yusuf, said the new CP, Babaji, was born on April 12, 1963, in Bambam, Balanga Local Government Area of Gombe State.

ASP Yusuf said the new CP had pledged to consolidate on the legacies of his predecessor by strengthening the existing collaboration between the command and key stakeholders.
