Badagry LG chair awards bursary to 200 indigent students

Chairman of Badagry LGA, Mr Olusegun Onilude, on Wednesday, presented bursary awards to no fewer than 200 students of various tertiary institutions who are indigenes of the area.

Onilude, while presenting the bursary awards to the beneficiaries at the council secretariat in Ajara, Badagry, said that the gesture was aimed at repositioning education within the council area.

He said that the scheme was also part of his administration’s commitment to supporting the aspirations of tertiary education seekers.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that while those studying Medicine, Law and Engineering received N50,000 each, others went home with 20,000 each.
