Speaking during the 2009 re-union lunch organized by the association, its President Alhaji Muhammed Lawan Baba, said the donation was part of the yearly activities carried out by the association with a view to preserving legacy of the school.

He said the association had earlier visited and made donations to the Torrey Home as part of activities marking the2009 re-union of members of the association while he pledged continuation of such gestures in the future. According to him, “the free education members of the association got in the past was like a kind of loan given to us which we have to pay back with humility, that is what we are doing now and will continue to do.”

The association also gave scholarships to the families of the deceased members of the association. It also awarded best students in Islamic Studies, Arabic and Qur’anic recitation of some schools in the state. The president of the association urged the students to take their education seriously saying, it is the best and easiest way to success.
