Kebbi State governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu
The Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has transmitted eight bills to the House of Assembly.
Gov. Bagudu, in a statement by his spokesperson, Yahaya Sarki, said the bills were part of the moves to strengthen legislation to address some of the challenges in the state.
He listed the bills to include: Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act 2020; the Child Rights Act and a bill to amend laws for the administration and collection of revenue due to the state and Local Government Councils (LGCs).
“A bill for a law to promulgate Penal Code Law for the state; a bill for a law to provide for the administration of criminal justice, a bill for amendment of the state’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences laws as well as a bill for the amendment of laws establishing the state’s College of Health Sciences and Technology, Jega.
