The government of Palestine has called on the international community to compel Israel to implement all the agreements signed with the country and halt its illegal settlement activities in West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Ambassador to Nigeria, Saleh A. Fhied, made the call in Abuja as the country marks the 99th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration. The envoy said the British government should apologise for the catastrophic consequences of the declaration.
“They should use their influence to compel Israel to implement all agreements signed with the Palestinian side, also to force them to immediately halt their illegal settlement activities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem and pave the way for a real hope to realise the two-state solution – the establishment of the independent and viable State of Palestine with holy East Jerusalem as its capital,” he said.
