Banditry: LG chair decries overpopulation in Niger IDP camps

The Chairman, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, Alhaji Suleiman Dauda Chikuba, has decried overpopulation in various camps for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in his domain.

 He said this while speaking with journalists in Minna on Sunday.

 The chairman, who said 1,600 persons displaced by bandits were currently taking refuge at some selected camps, including Gwada and Kuta, the headquarters of Shiroro Local Government Area, added that many IDPs lived in rented apartments.
