The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has met with operation commanders of the command to review security strategies and reinforce measures aimed at sustaining peace across the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, in a statement on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, revealed that the strategic meeting, held on Monday, at the Police Headquarters in Kano, brought together senior officers from key operational, tactical and intelligence units.
According to CP Bakori, the gathering served as an avenue to assess recent achievements recorded in crime prevention and law enforcement across the state.
He said the review would guide the command in strengthening its operations further.
The Commissioner emphasised the importance of deepening community-based engagements while charging operation commanders to intensify sensitisation efforts in local communities.
The commissioner stressed that public cooperation remains vital to maintaining peace and security.
He explained that the major focus of the meeting was the security situation along Kano’s boundary communities, especially in Shanono, Tsanyawa and Rogo local government areas.
CP Bakori outlined ongoing reinforcements in manpower and equipment in those areas and highlighted the need for sustained vigilance to curb emerging threats.
