Bandits have reportedly abducted a family of four in Hayin Kinini community under Kakangi village, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It was learnt that the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when the bandits invaded a house on the outskirts of the village.
The chairman of Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union (BEPU), Ishaq Kasai, who confirmed the incident described it as unfortunate.
Kasai said, “They abducted the man, his wife, and two children that night without other residents knowing. It was the man’s mother went to his house and discovered what had happened. The family lives on the outskirts of the town.”

The BEPU chairman lamented the prevalence of abductions for ransom in various communities of the LGA and appealed for government intervention.
However, there has been no official reaction from the state police command. The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, could not be reached on the phone and had yet to reply to a text message sent to him.
