Suspected bandits have reportedly attacked Yelwa Ganye village in the Kyaram district of the Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday night.
Residents told Daily Trust that the bandits stormed the community around 7 pm and began shooting at residents.
Abdullahi Bini Umar, a resident, told our correspondent that the gunmen arrived on motorcycles. “They shot one person and injured three others.
“Two of the victims were critically injured and have been rushed to a hospital in Jos for urgent medical attention.

The third victim was transferred to a hospital in Dangi, the headquarters of the local government. The attack has instilled fear in our community,” the resident said.
Another resident, Isa Musa Salihu, confirmed the incident, stating that the attack has terrified the community and caused some residents to flee.
Salihu said the gunmen fired at will despite the presence of three soldiers stationed in the area.
The spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Samson Zhakom, had not responded to an inquiry from our correspondent at the time of publication.
